Black Friar pub

Built in 1905 on the site of a thirteenth century Dominican Priory, this fantastic Art-Nouveau masterpiece of a pub is well worth a visit.

The interior was designed by the Royal Academy sculptor Henry Poole, and features green and red marble walls covered with illustrations of merry monks. Respect!
