Duke of York statue, SW1
This immense statue featuring a pink granite column topped with a Sir Richard Westmacott statue was built in 1824 and paid for by withholding one day's pay from every soldier in the British Empire.

This photo was taken the day of the London Marathon, where the stairs around the statue formed part of route.
