Tube trains at Aldgate station
Looking down from the exit stairway at Aldgate, you can see two Metropolitan trains in the platform.

The Metropolitan was the world's first Underground railway and - obscure fact fans! - it holds the record for the longest distance between adjacent stations by rail on the London Underground system – the 6.26 km (3.89 miles) between Chesham and Chalfont & Latimer.
