Tower 42 from Liverpool Street
One of London's most distinctive buildings, Tower42 (formerly the NatWest Tower) contrasts with the Victorian opulence of the Great Eastern Hotel in the foreground.

In the 1990s, the Victorian hotel was painstakingly refurbished in a £70 million project, retaining many of the original architectural features.
