The Refuge Assurance Building

Opened in 1910, this Alfred Waterhouse-designed landmark building mixes red brick with terra cotta surface decorations, capped off with a 220 feet high 'campanile' clock tower.

Now in use as a hotel, 'the Refuge', (as the locals still call it) is a Grade II Listed Building of special architectural importance.
