Approaching Midtown Tunnel

You can get a great view of Manhattan as you approach the Queens Midtown Tunnel.

Designed by Ole Singstad, the tunnel was opened in 1940 by the New York City Tunnel Authority to relieve traffic congestion on the city's East River bridges.
