9/11 Memorial tiles

Organised by a nearby do-it-yourself pottery store (Our Name Is Mud), there's a huge selection of home made tiles attached to this car lot fence on Greenwich and Seventh Avenues

Some of the tiles are thoughtful and touching tributes, while others are tacky or just plain bonkers!
