Crossing Williamsburg Bridge

When it opened in 1903, the Williamsburg Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world, with a span of 1,600 feet (487.7 meters) and a total length of 7,308 feet ( 2,227.5 meters).

The bridge, designed by Leffert Buck,was also notable for being the first bridge with all-steel towers.
