Pelham Bay Park
A brief visit to this Bronx town

Located in the northeast corner of the New York City borough of The Bronx, Pelham Bay Park's 2,764 acres makes it the largest public park in New York City - over three times the size of Central Park.
We were only passing through the town on our way to City Island, a short bus ride away. Hopefully we'll be able to come back one day and see a bit more.
Arriving at Pelham Bay Park station, right at the northern end of the 6 subway.
View outside the subway station.
Westchester Avenue with the WA Beauty Supply Store at number 3,287 advertising its 'Grand Opening.'
Dude on a call.
The subway runs on elevated tracks through the centre of Pelham Bay.
Knackered old elevator.
Fifteen minutes later and this bloke's still yakking!
We caught the BX29 bus to City Island, which runs along Shore Road through Pelham Bay Park. Some of the views weren't too pretty.
Once in the park, the road was so bumpy it was impossible to take any photos from the bus!
