Climbing Tram Hill The area was once served by a branch line from Quainton Rd, built as a horse tramway in the 1870s to serve the Duke of Buckingham's estate. The line was bought by the Metropolitan Railway before, bizarrely, being absorbed into London Transport in 1935.
