Stop the War demo

On 13th October 2001, the first anti-war rally was called in response to Allied military action in Afghanistan.

The protest attracted a wholly peaceful and unexpectedly large crowd of around 30-50,000 people, marching from Hyde Park to Trafalgar Square.
