Santorini 2004
Cable car to Fira harbour

Constructed in 1979, the cable car (also known as the 'teleferique'), was installed as a gift from the wealthy Santorini ship owner Evangelos Nomikos, whose ships are regular customers to the island.

Santorini's Cable Car can transport up to 1200 persons per hour and was made - not surprisingly - by a Swiss company, Doppelmayr.
