Windmill shaped houses

These old windmills have been convered into private dwellings.

Apparently there's some sort of building regulation loophole that allows these converted buildings to be over three stories high, unlike new buildings on the island.

Mind you, we were told this tale in a late night bar in Fira so it could be absolute bollocks!
