Santorini 2004 Tourist trundle Business was brisk on Nea Kameni, with streams of visitors trekking up the steep slope to the active volcano in the centre of the island. If ever you make this trip, be sure to take stout shoes and some drinking water!] It has to be said that the actual volcano was something of a disappointment. I guess I was (unrealistically) expecting 'Krakatoa 2: The Return' complete with bubbling magma, inferno heat and powerful lava flows.
