It was mighty cold, but the weather was beautiful, so we spent a few hours strolling around Cardiff Bay - an area that seems to changes dramatically each time I return to my hometown.
Here's some photos from our parky amblings:
Old dry dock gates.

Old and new, Cardiff Bay.
Old wooden cylinder.
Another disused dock.
Old buildings against a winter's sky.
Looking back at Cardiff Bay, showing the Wales Millennium Centre, Pierhead and Sennedd.
Although much reduced in size from its coal port heyday, Cardiff is still an active dock, with traffic levels rising again.
Walking towards the barrage locks.
Barrage gate controls.
Around the headland you can see the end of Penarth Pier.
Lights at the entrance to the barrage.
