Graig Llanishen walk
A hangover-shrugging stroll along a ridge overlooking north Cardiff

The head may have felt a little heavy after a night on the Brains SA, but I managed my traditional Christmas Day walk up Graig Llanishen.
With the temperature hovering around zero and ominous clouds looming on the horizon, I had to wrap up warm for the walk.
The walk worked out at around 6 miles (see the rough route here), and here's some photos snapped on my excellent little Lumix LX3 camera:
Walking up Caerphilly Road (A469) I passed this curiously truncated and shrouded street lamp.
Dark clouds on the horizon.
Walking on to the muddy footpath, which crosses a stream a few yards on.
Watch your dog!
Electric cables
Low winter shadows.
Dark sky over Cardiff.
Looking west from the ridge of Graig Llanishen.
Hubcap in a bush.
Welcome to Cardiff!
