Font-y-gary storm Situated ten miles out of Cardiff, this is one of my favourite spots for walking. This was taken at Font-y-gary as a fearsome storm was blowing in from across the Bristol Channel. In a clear day, you can see right across the Channel and sometimes catch a glimpse of steam and smoke coming from the locomotives running on the West Somerset Railway. Further up the coast, you can catch a restored steamer across the Channel to Minehead, and then catch a steam train along the old line. (sigh)...one day...! please donate! copyright/licensing |
