Statue of Aneurin Bevan MP Standing at the wast end of Queen Street (opposite the castle) is a bronze statue of Aneurin Bevan, founder of the NHS and all-round Welsh hero. Situated slap-bang in the middle of Cardiff's drinking district, it's not surprising that the statue often suffers the same fate as the nearby John Batchelor statue, and finds amusing objects perched on its head come Sunday morning.
