Crickhowell town centre

Crickhowell (population 2000) is a thriving market town situated between the gently rising Black Mountains and the dramatic Brecon Beacons.

In the centre of the town is The Old Bear Hotel, seen to the right in this picture.

The building dates back to 1432 and features a low-beamed bar which has has twice won the 'Best Pub in Britain' award.

Sadly, I didn't get chance to check it out - a mistake I intend to correct next time I'm in Crickhowell!
