Atlantic/Railton Road, SW2

Known as the 'Frontline' and once a pivotal area in the 1981 Brixton Riots, Atlantic/Railton Road has undergone a transformation and now sports several boutiques, an excellent cafe (the Lounge) and an upmarket bar, Neon.

Sadly, much of its original character is being lost in a wave of gentrification, with the old Howes Cash & Carry making way for luxury apartments.
