Cardiff Castle

In this Castle Street view, you can see the heavily rebuilt Cardiff Castle, extensively restored in 1860 by the 3rd Marquess of Bute, who was then reputed to be the richest man in the world.

Facing the castle is Demsey's, another of those faceless, cod-Irish pubs which replaced 'The Four Bars' (an excellent jazz bar).
