Once a bustling East River port, Williamsburg has transformed into a boho, arty hangout for hipsters, with new bars, trendy clothes stores and galleries opening up at a terrifying rate.

There's growing resistance to this rapid gentrification, with locals uniting to fight plans to 'rezone' the area (and thus allow more yuppie development).
