Starting life as a timewarp old fogies pub called 'The Coach and Horses', this two floor bar was yuppified into the IsoBar in 1999, then the 'Living Room' before finally settling for 'Living' bar after a dispute with another 'Living Room' elsewhere in London.
Defiantly parading its exclusive 'style bar' aspirations, the bar's door policy was the focus of racist accusations in 2002, while many locals objected to the numerous alterations made to the building without planning permission.
The bar settled down to be a popular choice for weekend visitors looking for late night entertainment before unexpectedly closing on Nov 19th, 2007.
In November 2009, the pub was consigned to history with the fine exterior bedecked with tacky plastic signs:
