Now converted to the 'Eastern Tree' Vietnamese restaurant, the pub on 171 Coldharbour Lane (corner of Harbour Road, Camberwell) was originally known as The Enterprise.

A rather bizarre transformation took place in the mid-1990s, with the pub being renamed 'The Coast Bar' and the frontage looking like a mix between a Chinese takeaway and an Aussie surf bar.

We went to the pub a few times - it was friendly enough with something of an 'Irish bar' feel, with a large sports screen furthest from the door.

Despite the best efforts of the owners (and some promoters brought in near the end), the bar always struggled for custom, eventually closing in 2004.
