A full-blooded, exciting and passionate clash sees City take away three points at the expense of injuries to Chopra and Johnson.

Despite that, the win put the Bluebirds into fourth place in the Championship, so we're still looking good for the play offs (at the very least!).


Entering the away end via a curious subterranean bunker. The waft of frying fatty meaty products wasn't ideal after a night out on the pop.


Pre-match crowd. The Palace turn out was very disappointing, with the attendance hitting just 14,814.

Note the billboard in the top left corner for Brixton's finest hard-house/techno emporium, the 414 Club!


I hate this marketing-led trend for ridiculous cuddly team mascots, and Palace managed to double my annoyance.


I've no idea what the 'Justice For The Panthers '83' banner is all about.








I quite like Selhurst Park. It's old enough to have some character and I loved the fact that it still had wooden seats.




City come close in the first half.




Although most of the palace crowd were hideously quiet, they had a small boisterous contingent in the bottom corner which provided some amusement. Without a crowd to accompany him, the drummer often ended up making a pointless fucking racket.






After Nathanial Clyne bundled Joe Ledley over in the box, McCormack coolly slotted the penalty home, sending Palace keeper Julian Speroni the wrong way. 1-0 City!

You can see Roger Johnson hitting the deck after being elbowed in the neck by Claude Davis. Miraculously, the ref claimed not to have seen the incident, which should have seen Davis sent off.


Roger Johnson gets treatment. Dave Jones was so furious that both he and Neil Warnock were sent off after complaining at half time.


It was a tight, physical and edgy performance. Here City come under pressure from Palace in the second half.




A beautifully taken late goal by Ross McCormack sealed the points for City.




City fans sing as Palace fans slope off home with a few minutes left on the clock.


Full time and the City fans belt out celebratory chants.
