A climb up Monument tower
We clamber up the 311 steps again and take some more photos

I recently wrote a full feature about the 330 year old London Monument on my blog, but seeing as we got to take another trip up the 330 year old tower last month, I thought I'd post up some updated photos.
Heading up the stairs.
Curious cavity in the wall.
There's some recesses in the wall affording space for folks to take a breather on the way up.
It was pretty busy when we visited.
The magnificent view from the top. To the right can be seen Tower Bridge and City Hall.
Looking up to Liverpool Street and Tower 42, the Heron Tower and the fabulous Gherkin.
St Paul's in the distance.
It can get very windy at the top, so hang on to your hat/toupee!
The Shard across the tower.
The Strata tower at Elephant and Castle with its distinctive roof turbines.
Canary Wharf in the distance.
Looking up.
Heading back down.
Graffiti near the entrance, dated 1709.
What appears to be a bride going up the tower!
Queue to get in.
