Another fine London pub bites the dust

We've been documenting the sad demise of traditional public houses around south London for some time, but pubs continue to close all over the UK, even in central London.
Despite being situated a short stroll from major tourist attractions like Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery, the Hand & Racquet pub succumbed a few years back and the attractive Victorian building looks set to be demolished.
The solid Victorian boozer proudly boasts its construction date - nearly 150 years ago.
'A little pub with a big welcome.' Sadly, not any more.
