A few days after enjoying the bike-powered cinema evening, we returned on a glorious Good Friday afternoon to check out the Velodrome's open day, which offered track races, jumble sales, bike polo and more.
Racing around the Velodrome track.
There were loads of stalls selling new and second hand cycling gear, bikes, frames and parts.
Visitors were given 'taster' sessions on specialist track bikes.
A head to head on the Rollapaluza roller racing.
The mountain bikes courses run around the side of the Velodrome and there were instructors about to keep an eye on kids trying out the sometimes-tricky routes.
Picnicking by the track.
Looking towards the disused grandstand.
The final couple of races of the day.
Kids make a playground out of the fences!
The last challenge!
