OFFLINE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL!
Friday 17th December 2010
Our biggest-ever Christmas special at the Brixton Albert featured all-girl go-go dancing from THE ACTIONETTES, wild surf garage from DR VAMPIRE and lo-fi, garage-pop Western Bop from THE WEREWANDAS - plus a festive feast of DJs, videos and more!
The Actionettes rehearse before the evening's show.
The mighty PROD DJ team on the decks.
The fabulous Werewandas on stage.
Waheey! It's the Actionettes, an all-girl, go-go dance troupe shimmying in some festive 60s dance moves.
The Silver Brazilians return to Offline for their third gig - and it's the best so far!
Maximum revellry!
We love Dr Vampire, and they were the perfect headline act for our Christmas special!
Dancing to Dr Vampire.
DJ Lopez.

LIVE ONSTAGE:
DR VAMPIRE
Wild surf, garage and bone-rattling rockabilly from this hot new young outfit, who mix in classic horror movie samples with The Shadows on bad acid. They created a storm at the last Offline so don't miss them!
THE ACTIONETTES
A ballroom blitzkrieg of shimmying, sparkling, synchronised routines from this all-girl dance troupe, kicking their shiny white boots to 60s girl group classics. As seen on Charlie Brooker's TV show and BBC2's Culture Show, extra sparkly Christmas dance set!
"With each shake of the hips, the smiles get wider..." The Independent
THE WEREWANDAS
Comprised of members of The Fat Tulips, The Cut-Outs, The Shla-la-las, Mambo Taxi and Airport Girl, The Werewandas are a five-piece combo of Fujiyama mamas and papas who gleefully massacre rocknroll standards as well as their own original Western Bop confections, wishing they were Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps and ending up as a lo-fi, garage-pop Everly Sisters.
(PUSSYCAT AND THE DIRTY JOHNSONS have cancelled at the last minute - sorry!)
MULTIMEDIA
Original photos, old footage, pop 45 sleeves, and more.
DJS!
We'll also have a full crew of hard-drinking Offline regulars throwing down a top selection of tunes, including:
LANG & LOPEZ (The Actionettes)
A glorious celebration of 50s, 60s, Motown and obscure dance tunes from the Actionettes' very own Glamour Queens of Vintage Vinyl.
EDITOR (urban75)
An ale-fuelled onslaught of ska, punk, rock'n'roll, big band, rockabilly, Mrs Mills & Liberace in a floor stomping package proving that drinking'n'DJing can be a perilous trade.
NIPSLA (Falling over studios)
Packing more pop than a Rice Krispies factory, Nipsla's DJ bag is a veritable jumble sale of joy, overflowing with indie, dance, electro and party tunes.
BARON BOBBY BAUHAUS (charcoal soul)
More mysterious than Robert Smith's eyeliner bag, Bobby gets dancefloors rocking with quirky, darkside indie-pop and kohl-smudging breakbeats.
DUBVERSION (People's Republic of Disco)
Takes pride in having no skills but lots of tunes. From dub to country to gospel and most points in between
