Some seaside photos from Littlehampton.
An enormous Union Jack flaps over the funfair.
Relaxing at the funfair.
The funfair is a pretty small affair, offering dodgems, a water ride and a few other rather low key rides.
Things were fairly quiet at the funfair.
I love the Art Deco sci-fi looks of the little lighthouse on the Littlehampton East Pier.
The white light flashes in a 6 seconds on and 1.5 seconds off sequence and sits on top of a white, concrete tower, supported by four buttresses with a cylindrical lantern.
Warning sign on the beach.
The River Arun stretches out quite a way into the sea, with a thin wooden section separating the river from the shallow beach waters.
Looking right.
Another view of the unusual channel where the river joins the sea.
The beach remains shallow until quite a way out to sea, so you've got a long paddle ahead if you want a proper swim.
Kids playing with a buoy at low tide.
Pier and lighthouse view.
Beach patrol guards clearing part of the beach as the tide started to come in.
Paddling on the beach.
Sunbathers, Littlehampton beach.
Beacon.
Giant plastic ice cream.
Couple enjoying a sea side walk.
The 'Amazing Boat Train' prepares to depart.
Kid with ice cream.
Shades of '1984'!
