Commemorating the 1666 Great Fire of London, the Monument is the world's tallest free standing Doric column.

Standing 202 feet high (the exact distance from the fire's source in a baker's shop), this is the view form the fantastic viewing platform - but you'll have to climb the 311 steps to get there!
