Llanfair Caereinion, Powy, Wales

Walking along and over the river Banwy...

Walking into Llanfair Caereinion...





Sat at the bottom of the Churchyard by the holy well of St Mary. It is claimed as pre-Christian when the water was drawn as a cure for various disorders. A pump was then used to get water for domestic use but the well was disused by 1909. It was restored in 1990.
