Trainspotters, Cardiff Central Trainspotters. They're a curious bunch. Hanging around on the end of platforms taking down the numbers of boring diesel trains as they go by. I could sort of see the attraction fifty years ago when proud drivers would pull heavy freight trains through country towns or highly polished Great Western locomotives would thunder through stations pulling trains with exotic sounding names like 'The Devon Belle, 'The Cornish Riveira' or the 'Atlantic Coast Express', but most modern trains leave me cold. all photos©urban75 2003 |
