Frozen river, Chicago I love wandering around the heart of big cities - especially in wintertime. I can remember going for a walk just after I arrived in Chicago, coat turned up against the searing cold, and coming across this spectacular view. The frozen ice on the river was starting to freeze up for the night and there was snow in the air. I felt a Blue Nile song coming on, but managed to resist the temptation... all photos©urban75 2003
