Midtown scene, 53rd street

You can just make out the sloped roof of the 279m high Citigroup skyscraper in this view.

Completed in 1977, the slanted crown stands 160 feet tall, and was originally intended to hold solar power panels.

The building is currently the 5th tallest in New York (2004)
