St Michael's Mount

Seen from the train, this former Benedictine Priory and Castle has seen service in the Wars of the Roses and the Cornish Rebellion against Edward VI. It's now owned by the national Trust.

It's joined to the nearby town of Marazion and the mainland by a 500 yard long granite causeway, which is only accessible at low tide.
