Emmets!

I'd only known St Ives outside of the tourist season (cue: Morrissey's, 'Every Day Is Like Sunday'), so it was a real shock to see the usually-empty streets packed full of 'emmets' (the local, derogatory term for tourists).

Elsewhere in Cornwall and Devon, tourists also go under the name of 'Grockles', a pejorative term often applied to visitors from the Midlands or the North of England.
