Three passenger trains are stacked up at Monmouth Troy station in this lunchtime view.
Ex-GWR railcar NoW21W heads up the scene with the 11:50am for Chepstow. Behind that is single coach 12:00 service to Pontypool hauled by Pannier tank No 6400, with 0-4-2T No 1455 at the back with the 12:50 service to Ross on Wye.

Arriving on the down platform with the 11am from Ross on Wye is a Collett '14xx' class 0-4-2T engine number 1445.
A bustling goods yard can be seen in this June 1956 view of Monmouth Troy.

To the far left can just be seen a sign for the Parcels Office and Cloakroom, with the Booking Office near the centre of the picture. An array of wheelbarrows, trolleys and bicycles can be seen on the platform.
Heading up the one-carriage, 6.20pm passenger service to Chepstow, the driver fills up the water tanks of Pannier tank No 6431 at Monmouth Troy, 9th September 1958.

The train waits at Monmouth Troy on the last day of ordinary passenger train services.
Much of the station was demolished, although the main building survived in situ until the late 1980s when it
was dismantled, brick by brick, and rebuilt at Winchcombe station on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway

Headed by an immaculate GWR 0-6-0 Pannier Tank, the last train from Monmouth - Ross prepares to leave Monmouth.
An 0-6-0 Pannier tank performs shunting duties around Monmouth Troy in September 1959. Passenger services from the station ceased in January that year.
