The funeral train of C.S.Rolls pulls into Monmouth Troy, 1910. The son of a wealthy British peer, Rolls joined forces with his friend F. H. Royce in 1904 to form the world famous Rolls Royce engineering company.
Rolls met his end in July 1910 when his French-built Wright biplane broke up in mid-air. Although he was only 20 ft up in the air, he broke his skull in the fall and became Britain's first aircraft fatality.
