The controversial first prize winner of the coveted 'Vegetable Figure' prize.
Some felt the nearby vegetable 'Lobstersaurus' should have clinched the title, although the use of a chicken wishbone in its construction was clearly a blatant abuse of the rules.
However, almost everyone agreed that none of the entries were a match for last year's amazing courgette penguin. Let's hope next year's Country Show produces some better entries...
The entertaining sheep shearing exhibition in action. Despite this fellow's antipodean appearance, he was about as Australian as Alfie Bass.
To the amazement of onlookers, the sheep shearing fella managed to whip the entire coat off in one go.
Respect!
Stroking the newly shorn sheep at the Lambeth Country Show.
A big sign reads 'Beef Cattle' and - just out of view - the words - 'give us meat'. Good job bovines can't read...
A view of the urban75 picnic with Mrs Magpie's park regulation-flouting portable barbeque.
Unfortunately, there was some confusion over the meet up point so - unbeknown to us - there was a second urban75 picnic taking place a short way away. Happily we met afterwards and I managed to grab some of mango5's lovely spinach and feta cheese pie.
