Lambeth Country Show 2010 [part one]
One of London's finest free events!
(Saturday/Sunday 17th and 18th July 2010, photos by urban75)
Now in its 34th year, the Lambeth Country Show is easily one of our favourite festivals of the year.
With over 300 exhibitors and traders, plus bands, sheep shearing, vegetable animals, flowers, farm animals, fencing, owls, ducks and more, it's a great couple of days out.
Here's some photos:
The fabulous Alabama3 onstage on the Saturday afternoon.
Main stage crowd for Alabama3.
It must have been horribly hot inside these plastic balls.
The duck herding begins.
Success! The ducks charge between the guys legs.
Very tall thing.
Punch and Judy man.
The kids loved him!
Inside the Flower Tent.
'Five A Daley Thompson'. This should have won the Olympic themed vegetable competition.
Mind you, I rather liked the third placed entrant too.
I've no idea what this Owl-meets-Wombat
creation has to do with the Olympics, but it bagged first prize.
Great spuds.
Killer courgettes.
More amusing vegetables animals - always our favorite bit of the show.
A rather sad looking penguin there.
Bah! We didn't win.
Scones galore.
I know next to nothing about knitty things, but this was beautifully made.
The glittering prizes.
