Lambeth Country Show 2012 - part one

For a while it looked like the 38th Lambeth Country Show wasn't going to take place after the council cancelled its traditional July slot, citing the Olympics as an excuse - [see the story here].

Happily, a vigorous local campaign saw the show reinstated, with the event moving to September - and once again, a fantastic free event was on offer.

Here's some photos from the weekend, which was blessed with some lovely late summer sunshine.

Whoosh! Singed eyebrows a-plenty as the pan exploded into flame!

What you're supposed to do is turn off the heat, cover the pan with a damp cloth and leave to cool for at least 30 minutes - or if you're in any doubt at all, GTFO and call 999 pronto.
