Brixton: Cooltan Arts centre, January 2007

After lying derelict for years on end, the security fencing was recently broken down by drug users who are presumably using the abandoned building to shoot up/smoke crack.

I didn't fancy venturing inside and playing 'avoid the needle,' but here's some shots of the crumbling building.

Amd to think that this was once a vibrant, buzzing community arts centre....













The red ink on the door says, 'FUK SMAK.'

UPDATE 30th MAY 2007

The building is demolished. Goodbye Cooltan!
