Then and Now: New Park Road (Tuson's Corner)
Photographic comparisons of old and modern views of Lambeth
1972 Still bearing the words 'Est 1868,' H.J.Tuson and Sons Ltd were trading as pawnbrokers on the corner of Brixton Hill and New Park Road. Note the three metal balls of the pawnbroker's sign above the shop.

Apr 2007 The shop name has been painted over in a rather lurid green, but the sporty billboards suggest that it is, or was, open as a bookies. On the front of the building you can see the words 'Tuson's Corner' although we're not sure if anyone refers to it as that any more.
There's quite a few 'corners' still to be found in London, with perhaps Amen Corner being one of the more intriguing.
