Jan 2004 You can clearly see how changes to the building line has altered the centre of Brixton, with a rebuilt Prince of Wales occupying the old forecourt area. Brixton Road how now become a noisy and dangerous major thoroughfare - something that would no doubt terrify the Edwardian ladies seen walking in the road in the original picture above!
