Then and Now: Coldharbour Lane/Moorland Rd
Photographic comparisons of old and modern views of Lambeth
c1912 Looking down Coldharbour Lane towards Loughborough Junction from the junction with Moorlands Rd and Barrington Road. You can just make out the overhead electric wires of the tram service, while a bowler-hatted chap cycles towards the camera..

May 2003 The trams have sadly gone and the road now thunders to the endless roar of traffic - I had to dash across the road to get this picture! Thankfully, this part of Coldharbour Lane was spared the brutal redevelopment of the 1970s, with almost all the original buildings still intact. And there's a cyclist in this view too!
