Then and Now: Sussex Arms, Sussex Road
Photographic comparisons of old and modern views of Lambeth.
Pub location
1966 A view of the old Sussex Arms public house, on the corner of Sussex Road and Loughborough Park, east side looking north.
By this time, the pub had closed and the building was in use as the Loughborough Welfare Clinic.
c1915 Earlier view from a similar viewpoint.

Dec 2005 Forty years on and it's not just the pub building has gone - the entire street has too!
The site was completely engulfed in the Moorlands Estate development which saw Sussex Road and Geneva Road (which ran north-to-south from Loughborough Park to Coldharbour Lane) as part of a large housing project dominated by the Barrier Block (aka Southwyck House).
